You can request deletion of your Munasib account and the personal data associated with it at any time.
How to Request Deletion
Account deletion is handled entirely in the app: open Munasib, go to Profile → Delete my account, and confirm.
The 30-Day Grace Period
Deletion isn't instant. The moment you request it, your account is deactivated immediately — you're signed out, hidden from Discover, and no one can send you a new interest or message. Your account and data are then permanently deleted 30 days later.
Changed your mind? Just sign back in before those 30 days are up. You'll see a screen telling you when the account is due to be deleted, with a "Keep my account" button that cancels it — no need to contact anyone.
What Gets Deleted
Once the 30 days pass, we delete or anonymize:
- Your profile, including all photos.
- Your account details (email, date of birth, city, and the rest of your profile information).
- Your partner preferences.
- Your selfie-verification record: the images that verified your profile, the face templates made from your selfie and photos, and the results of your verification checks.
- Any guardian relationships tied to your account.
- Push-notification tokens for your devices.
Your name and photo are replaced with "Deleted account" wherever a match of yours still has your conversation — the messages stay on their side, the way any chat app keeps a conversation after the other person leaves.
What's Kept
Reports filed against your account are kept, so a report can't be erased by deleting the account it was filed against. Records of any Premium purchase are kept for as long as we're required to for accounting purposes. Neither includes your profile or photos.
For anything else, see our Privacy Policy or contact support.
